Biography/Research Interests

I am a research assistant professor in Ron Levy's lab, in the department of chemistry. I am interested in elucidating the relationship between protein structure, function, and sequence, using tools from physics, population genetics, chemistry, and machine learning. My current focus is developing inference methods for predicting protein function based on observed protein sequence variation, for proteins which have evolved over millions of years. These methods have applications in HIV and cancer drug design.
